Costa Rica Hotels Offer Special Deals

October 31st, 2008 by Carolyn Ramer

As a way to face the current financial crisis going on in the United States, six hotels in Costa Rica joined forces to offer diverse and valuable package to the North American traveler.

The group of hotels has designed several options that will allow tourists to alternate between the six hotels.   These hotels are located in beach and mountain regions thus giving the tourist the freedom to swap between the participating hotels as well as between different environments.

The packages offered are from 5 to 8 days and offer an interesting mix of locations for a much lower rate than what it would cost if each hotel were booked individually.  The president of the administrative entity for three of the hotels, Hans Pfister, mentioned that these are times of crisis and that they are working together to offer interesting options for the tourist.

The participating hotels are:

  • Punta Islita: (Guanacaste) Recently featured among the top 100 hotels in the world by Condé Nast.  Reader’s Choice Award Winner for Top Resorts in Central & South America for its second consecutive year.
  • Lapa Rios: (South Pacific) Featured in Condé Nast’s 2008 Gold List as well as received the Reader’s Chioce Award Winner in 2007
  • Harmony Hotel: (Guanacaste) A charming hotel ideal for anyone looking to disconnect, regroup and relax.  The Harmony Hotel in Nosara is the perfect place for those looking for great surfing locations as well.
  • Hotel Arenas del Mar: (Manuel Antonio) A top boutique hotel located in the Central Pacific Coast that will undoubtedly exceed all expectations.
  • El Silencio Lodge & Spa: (Bajos del Toro) Located in one of Costa Rica’s best kept secret places, the Silencio Lodge has recently been selected by Condé Nast Traveler and Travel+Leisure editors as one of the new most exciting hotels in the world.
  • Finca Rosa Blanca: (Heredia) Considered one of the best hotels in the world and preeminent boutique hotel by several authors.  Andrew Harper Recommended since 1996.

A common characteristic of all these hotels is their commitment to environmentally-friendly practices and sustainability.  The North American and European traveler has become very sensible to these issues and will be pleased by these hotels’ sustainable practices.

The select hotels’ special promotion is valid until December 15th once the high season picks up.

Hotel Claro de Luna Renovates in Time for the Holidays

October 29th, 2008 by Carolyn Ramer

Monteverde is an extremely popular destination among the local and foreign tourist thanks to its exotic vegetation and unique wildlife.  Monteverde is located in Costa Rica’s Central Pacific highlands offering its visitors a spectacular cloud forest ambiance.

The Monteverde region is packed with activities for even the most demanding nature-lovin’ adventure junkie.  With the Monteverde Cloud Forest Preserve and the Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserve in the area, any visitor will have his or her dose of full contact nature.  Add skywalk trams and zip-line tours and your contact with nature will be unforgettable.

The Hotel Claro de Luna offers a great accommodation option while in Monteverde.  This quaint family owned hotel is a beautiful house that has been adapted to offer tourists a peaceful and relaxing place to shower, rest and eat after a long day outside.  Nestled in the cool green surroundings of Monteverde, the Hotel Claro de Luna offers its guests breathtaking views of the Nicoya Gulf and the mountains of Monteverde.

The hotel is currently renovating its rooms while adding 6 more to perfectly combine with the existing theme of Claro de Luna.  The material being used in the hotel’s renovation all comes from reforestation wood.  The hotel’s new look will combine wood, stone and lots of plants to properly fit in with its surroundings.

In addition to upgrading the existing rooms to match the new ones, the hotel offers its guests wireless Internet connection and ample parking space.  The Hotel Claro de Luna will be ready to receive its guests by December; just in time for the high season.

Hotel PURE an Upcoming Hospitality Company

October 28th, 2008 by Carolyn Ramer

Upcoming Hospitality Company Hopes to Fill Hotel Niche with Creative Branding Concept and Eco-Friendly Hotels
Rodney Marvel,Author

In an environmentally aware world, filled with pleasure seekers and international travelers, there is a seemingly significant absence of “eco-friendly” lodgings.  That is to say, if you don’t want to room in a hut while on vacation, there are few environmentally friendly choices when choosing where to stay.  This is where Hotel Pure Green enters and offers the eco-savvy a place to kick off their Birkenstocks, while relishing in the modern amenities of the 21st Century.

Hotel Pure Green gives peace of mind to travelers concerned about the environment, especially in the lush jungles and environs of developing countries where these hotels are primarily located, such as Costa Rica, Panama and Nicaragua.  These hotels make energy conservation and waste disposal primary concerns, in an effort to minimally impact the environment and protecting the surrounding ecosystems for future generations of travelers and locals.

Hotel Pure Green is the creation of Oriens Travel and Hotel Management Corp, of Las Vegas, Nevada, and is part of a larger effort to launch the Hotel Pure brand name.  The company has recently launched a creative branding effort in an attempt to consolidate the largely fractured hospitality industry in developing nations around the globe.  The Chief Executive Officer, Ken Chua, maintains that a large part of the success of the major hotel chains has been their successful marketing and branding campaigns.
