Out Of Bounds Hotel is situated on a beautiful Lot overlooking the Central Valley. With an amazing view of Volcano Barva and Poas. Located on the Old Road to Santa Ana in the suburb of San Rafael Escazu, it is an ideal location. In front of the property is a public bus stop. Just 20 minutes from the Juan Santamaria International Airport.

If you’re here for Business we are just 5 minutes to the FORUM and 7 minutes to Office Centro. Our Lodge is detached from the main house. The rooms are Hotel style rooms, not the typical B&B. Owned and operated by the owners to insure the best service is given.

Upon arrival to Out Of Bounds Hotel we will provide you with a hot cup of gourmet Costa Rican coffee or a nice refreshing Fruit drink.  We will then show you to your room, where you can relax and take in the view. The rooms in the Lodge are smoke free. Guests are welcome to smoke on the balconies.

Your FREE daily breakfast will include either a Typical Costa Rican breakfast. “Gallopinto” eggs, bread and fresh fruit. Or an American style breakfast. Eggs, bread, Bacon, hash browns or Cereal and fresh fruit. Breakfast is served from 7:30am to 10:30am on the Terrace. If you are here for Dental work, let us know so we can offer you our Soft breakfast.

We have books, magazines and games for use at your convenience. Access to the BBQ Grill, fax machine photo copier, DVD player, Sony play station, CD player, and washer/dryer for a fee.

We also have a full operating Tour company at the Lodge. Out Of Bounds Tourist Center can assist you with other Lodging around Costa Rica, Car rental, bus/plane transportation, Daily or Package tours. We have our own bikes for rent as well as Snorkel gear, surf boards and kayaks. Come by the Information center for expert advice and recommendations.

Two Standards
Our standard rooms sleep 2 comfortably. One of the rooms has vaulted ceiling and is located on the second floor. The Standard rooms include 2 Twin beds or a King. Decorated with Local art work and pine wood floors. TV, Internet WiFi and Cable, clock radio Fridge, coffe maker and Simmons beds. Each room has its own large bathroom with hot water and comfortable seating in the shower. On the deck in front of the room we have rocking chairs for viewing comfort.

Junior
Our Junior room sleeps 2 comfortably. Decorated with Local art work and pine wood floors. The Junior room has a Queen bed. TV, Internet WiFi, Fridge, coffee maker, clock radio and Simmons beds. Writing Desk for your laptop. Large bathroom with hot water and comfortable seating in the shower. Handicap accessible.

Deluxe
Our Deluxe room has a vaulted ceiling and is located on the second floor. Decorated with Local art work and pine wood floors. The Deluxe room Sleeps 5 comfortably has 2 double beds and a Sofa bed. TV, Internet WiFi, clock radio, A/C, Fridge, coffee maker and Simmons beds. Writing Desk for your laptop. Large bathroom, hot water and comfortable seating in the shower. On the deck in front of the room we have rocking chairs for viewing comfort.

Superior Suite
Our Superior Suite sleeps 4 comfortably and includes a Kitchenette. Stove-top, Fridge, toaster, Coffee maker and all the amenities needed for cooking. The Superior room has 2 double beds. Decorated with Local art work and pine wood floors. TV, Internet WiFi and Cable, clock radio, A/C and Simmons beds. Writing Desk for your laptop. The room has a large bathroom hot water and comfortable seating in the shower. On the deck in front of your room we have rocking chairs for viewing comfort. Handicap accessible.

Additional Guests: Rates are based on double occupancy; there is an additional charge of $15 for each additional person. Children under age 4 stay free (max. 2) if sharing a room with an adults. Outside guests are welcome to join you for breakfast at $10/person, with reservations.

Arrival/Departure: Check-in time is 2:00pm Check-out time is 11a.m.

Special Needs/Requests: We have 2 handicap rooms available as well as a wheelchair ramp for easy access.

Just 5 minutes to the City Center of Escazu and 20 minutes from the Juan Santamaria International airport on the old road to Santa Ana in the suburb of San Rafael Escazu 1km West from Commercial Paco. We are in close proximity to the shopping mall (Multiplaza) , 5 minutes to the Forum, and 3 minutes to the Cima Hospital. If you want some exercise we have Worlds Gym and 2 great Golf Courses nearby. There are numerous excellent Restaurants in the vicinity. Within walking distance to the TajMahal (Indian food) and La Casa de Doña Lela (typical Costa Rican food) just to name a few.

Parking/Transportation: If you are traveling by car, ample parking is available on-site free of charge. We will gladly assist you with other transportation arrangements, upon request. $25 charge for airport shuttle.

Dining: A wide selection of excellent restaurants can be found in close proximity to the Lodge, most recommended ones are: Machu Pichu (Peruvian), Bacchus (Italian, Mediterranean), Di Bartolo’s (Mediterranean), Taj Mahal(Indian) Ceviche del Rey (Peruvian) .

Medical Services: Dental work, 5 min away from the Private Hospital Cima and several other clinics and spa’s.

BARS: Time out tavern (American owned), Henry’s (young people), Rock&Roll pollo (sport’s bar)
